Teen boy stabbed during Ajax cell phone robbery

A teenage boy suffered a stab wound during a mugging in Ajax last night.

Durham Regional Police were called to Torr Ln. and Trott Ln. in northern Ajax around 10:20 p.m. on March 22. The call reported an armed person in the area.

When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old boy suffering a single stab wound. The boy reported his cell phone had been stolen.

Paramedics took the boy to a Toronto hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Police say three suspects were seen in the area and fled eastward. The trio is associated with a dark SUV, which may be a blue Honda CRV.
