Teen girl dead after she was run over by a truck while skateboarding in Uxbridge

The teen girl who was run over by a truck in Uxbridge has died in hospital.

Lillian, 17, was skateboarding around the parking lot of the Uxbridge Rotary Skate Park at 335 Main Street North on Sept. 22. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. she was using a silver Dodge Pickup truck to pull herself around the parking lot.

However, Lillian lost her balance, fell, and was pulled under the truck. She sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. She was then taken to a Toronto trauma centre. She fought for her life for several days but succumbed to her wounds on Sept. 26.

Lillian had recently gotten her G1 beginner’s driver’s license and registered as an organ donor at the time. After her death, her organs saved the lives of seven recipients.
