Teen motorcyclist killed in Uxbridge accident

A teenage motorcyclist was killed Monday after his bike rear-ended a van on Davis Drive in Uxbridge.

Police were called to the Davis Drive and Concession Road 6 area about 1 p.m., Monday for a two-vehicle accident. The motorcyclist, a 16-year-old Uxbridge resident, was critically injured and was attended by paramedics before being rushed to a local hospital.

He died in hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 40-year-old woman from Uxbridge, was not injured, and remained on scene.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for more than three hours while evidence was collected.
