Teen nabbed for one-day, three-store jewelry store robbery spree in Whitby, Oshawa and Pickering

Investigators have arrested a teenager in relation to a jewelry store robbery spree in May.
One other suspect is still on the loose.
On Thursday, May 12, at approximately 3:05 p.m., members from Central West Division responded to an attempted robbery at the Graziella Fine Jewelry store in the Whitby Mall. A short time later, at approximately 3:40 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a robbery at the Oshawa Centre at Paris Jewelers. One of the suspects smashed a display case, stole jewelry and fled.
At approximately 5 p.m., members of West Division responded to the Pickering Town Centre for a third robbery, this time at the Michael Hill Jewelry store.
A 17-year-old youth from Scarborough, was arrested September 7 and charged with two counts each of robbery and robbery with offensive weapon; three counts of wear disguise; two counts of fail to comply; and two counts of weapons Dangerous. He was held for a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing and police continue to look for the second suspect.
