Teenager on E-bike struck by car in Whitby

A 16 year-old suffered serious injuries after the E-Bike he was riding was hit by a vehicle on Thickson Road North in Whitby Saturday evening.

Durham Police said the teenager was travelling on the sidewalk when he was stuck by the vehicle, which was turning into a driveway.

The victim was transported to a trauma centre where he is in stable condition. The driver remained on the scene. Police are investigating.
