Thirteen new COVID cases in Durham for second day in a row – four in Ajax

There were 13 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Durham Region Thursday, the second day in a row with a baker’s dozen new cases. Four came from Ajax.

There are three people in Durham hospitalized with the virus with two in intensive care. The number of active cases has dropped to 85.

The region’s health department is reporting four school outbreaks but all cases at those schools and day cares have been resolved. There are still two institutional and one workplace outbreak on record in Durham.

The percentage of fully vaccinated residents 12 and over is now up to 81.3 per cent.
