Thirty more COVID cases in Durham; 12 from Oshawa

New cases for COVID-19 remain high in Durham, with 30 reported yesterday in a week that has averaged more 26 per day.

A dozen of the cases were from Oshawa, with Clarington (7) and Whitby (5) also reporting high numbers of new cases. The active case count has dropped slightly to 178 and there just two residents still in hospital.

School outbreaks in Durham remain at 13 with the number of children home isolating up slightly to 32, with 15 of those attributed to the closed-for-in-class-learning Enniskillen Public School in rural Hampton.

One long-term daycare and two workplace outbreaks remain as well.
