Thirty-one school bus routes cancelled in Clarington; six in Oshawa

Another day of school bus route cancellations, though today’s (April 24) cancellations are confined to Clarington – where the driver shortage problem has been most acute this year – and three Oshawa high schools.

Thirty-one routes in Clarington, affecting 15 schools, have been cancelled today as bus operators try to get a handle on the issue.

Schools in Clarington facing cancelled routes include Duke of Cambridge, St. Joseph, Bowmanville High, Clarington Central Secondary and Clarington Central Intermediate, Newcastle, St. Stephen, Hampton Jr and MJ Hobbs Sr, Courtice Secondary and Courtice Intermediate, Dr. Ross Tilley, St. Francis of Assisi, Holy Family and John James.

The Oshawa high schools with cancelled routes are Monseigneur Pereyma, McLaughlin and Paul Dwyer.
