Three men from North York are facing charges after a multi-jurisdictional investigation into the theft of copper wire from a business in Manvers Township, just beyond the Regional border from Clarington.

Around 11:15 pm on December 27 Kawartha Lakes OPP officers responded to a call reporting after men were seen removing spools of copper wire from the business.

The men left the scene before police arrived, creating a multi-jurisdictional case. OPP officers from Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough worked alongside Durham Regional Police to find the cars and suspects.

Jozsef Horvath, 36, and Aladar Racz, 40, both from North York are charged with theft over $5,000, two counts of possession of stolen property over $5,000, and break and enter.

Richard Sebok, 33, also from North York, faces the same charges in addition to mischief over $5,000 and possession of break-in tools.

All three men will appear in a Lindsay courtroom on January 27. Anyone with information can call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
