Town of Ajax celebrating Canada Day at Ajax Downs

Canada Day festivities will happen Friday at the Ajax Downs racetrack and casino, with a busy day of activities from 2-10, culminating in an epic fireworks display at dusk.

There will be a variety of activities including cultural performances, children’s games and activities, interactive experiences, plus two stages of live entertainment, community displays and exhibitors, sensory zone, food vendors, beer garden and the fireworks finale at 10 p.m.

Residents can leave the car at home and take the free Canada Day shuttle from one of three locations:

• GO Parking off O’Brien Court
• Ajax Town Hall (65 Harwood Ave. S.)
• Audley Recreation Centre (1955 Audley Rd. N.)

First shuttle pick-up is 1:45 p.m. and the last shuttle will leave Ajax Downs at 10:45 p.m. Shuttles will run every 20 minutes (approximately) and may vary due to unexpected circumstances, traffic and weather.
