UPDATE: Transport truck crash closes lanes on Highway 401 in Pickering

Update: The OPP said the express lanes from Whites Road are expected to reopen before 12 p.m.
A tractor-trailer loaded with paint was involved in the crash and paint was spilling out of the truck, OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.

One person was injured in a crash that closed lanes on Highway 401 in Pickering Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the collision in the highway’s eastbound express lanes at Liverpool Road at 4:14 a.m. on Tuesday, OPP said in a post on X.
Two transport trucks and one car collided, police said.
The driver in the car sustained minor injuries and was sent to hospital. There were no other injuries reported.
As of 7:30 a.m., the eastbound express lanes were closed for the cleanup.
Police asked drivers to stick to the collector lanes.
