Transport truck hits train bridge, three lanes closed on highway through Pickering

UPDATE: All three right lanes on the highway have been reopened.
A collision involving a transport truck, and a train bridge early Monday evening (Oct. 7) is causing major traffic delays on a highway near Pickering.
The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on the eastbound Highway 401 express lanes east of Whites Road.
OPP says a transport truck hauling cars struck a train bridge. One of the vehicles fell off the truck.
No injuries have been reported.
The three right express lanes will remain blocked until a bridge inspection is completed.
Police are asking commuters to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
