Two arrested, one on the lam after gunpoint hold-up at Ajax Subway

Two men have been arrested and a third suspect remains at large following a hold-up at gunpoint in an Ajax Subway.

Three suspects entered the Subway on Harwood Ave S on May 1. They pointed a gun at an employee and assaulted them.

Police went on to execute three search warrants in Markham and two others in Ajax. In the course of these raids investigators found a handgun and numerous firearm parts.

Nathan Dacosta-Dasilva, 28 of Ajax is charged with 13 criminal offenses including; using or storing ammunition carelessly, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, unauthorized possession, carrying a concealed weapon, assault and weapons dangerous.

Pena Masabo, 26 of Ajax, faces nine criminal charges including; unauthorized possession, unauthorized possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, weapons dangerous, careless handling or storage of a firearm and occupying a vehicle with a firearm.

Both men will remain in custody until a bail hearing.  Police have yet to find the third suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
