Two Oshawa stabbing suspects on the lam

Two suspects of a stabbing in Oshawa last night remain at large.

The pair attacked a man in Storie Park on Mill St., just off Hwy. 401 and Simcoe St., around 9 p.m. Sept. 14. The victim, a 36-year-old man, was discovered with non-life-threatening wounds when first responders arrived on scene. He was rushed to hospital and has since been discharged.

He reported he was attacked with a multi-coloured butterfly knife with a roughly four-inch blade. A butterfly knife is considered a “gravity knife” under Canadian law and is considered a prohibited weapon.

Durham Regional Police describe the first victim as a 15 to 18-year-old white man, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 with a slim build. He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball hat with a bicycle light strapped around it, a white medical mask or bandana on his face, a grey sweater with a white Medusa logo, and baggy pants. He was riding an orange e-scooter.

They describe the second suspect as a 50 to 60-year-old white man with short dark hair and a black and grey full beard. He was also wearing a bicycle light wrapped around his head and a dark hoodie. He was riding a white e-bike.
