Two year-old fighting for life after being hit by car in Ajax driveway

A two-year-old child is clinging to life after being hit by a vehicle in Ajax on Sunday evening.

On Sunday, August 21 at approximately 7:15 PM, officers from Durham Police’s West Division were called to a residence on Williamson Drive East for a report of a two-year-old child that had been struck by a vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle was reversing into his driveway when the child was hit. The child was transported to a Toronto-area trauma center with life threatening injuries.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit were on the scene quickly and the roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
