Two youth charged in Oshawa stabbing

Two youths face charges after a man was stabbed in Oshawa.

Details are sparse but according to Durham Regional Police, the victim, 27, was walking along a downtown bike path near John St. Two youths approached the man allegedly with the intent to rob him.

The pair stabbed the man, police say, inflicting a serious but non-life-threatening injury. The attack occurred around 2 p.m. on Feb. 27.

Two youths were arrested at the scene. However, a police spokesperson did not have the details of their ages or charges on hand.

“That’s all the information I have at the moment,” he told indurham.com.

“At this time, there are no public safety concerns.”
