Unidentified man wanted after downtown Oshawa stabbing

A man who stabbed one man and sprayed a second victim with a “noxious substance” in downtown Oshawa Thursday night remains at large.

Around 11 p.m. August 18, the suspect and the first victim, a 42-year-old man, got into an argument near John St and Simcoe St. The altercation escalated until the suspect slashed the first victim.

The suspect then fled from the scene on his bicycle leaving the victim suffering non-life threatening injuries. Police later found the victim.

While on scene a second victim approached police reporting he had been sprayed with an unspecified noxious substance in the face during the altercation.

Police describe the suspect as Black man standing 5’6″ tall, in his 30s, with short black hair. He was wearing a black tracksuit, a red backpack and glasses.
