Unidentified man wanted in theft of Canadian Cancer Society car in Whitby

A manhunt is underway for the unidentified man who stole a Canadian Cancer Society car in Whitby.

The car, a silver Honda van, was parked near Consumers Dr. and Garden St. on June 14, Durham Regional Police said. It was clearly marked as a Canadian Cancers Society Wheels of Hope volunteer’s car. The Wheels of Hope campaign connects cancer patients to volunteer drivers who take them in for their treatments.

Investigators released an image of the car and a suspect in the hopes of identifying the man who stole the car.
