Unlicensed weed seller in Oshawa busted for second time in a week

An unlicensed weed dispensary in Oshawa has been busted by police for the second time in less than a week.
Durham Police’s Central East Division Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Unit, executed a second search warrant at Oshaweed, an unlicensed cannabis dispensary on King Street West. Officers seized cannabis, cash and other weed-related products worth a combined value of approximately $25,000.
A 40 year-old male employee, of Oshawa is charged with possess cannabis for the purpose of selling. He was released on an Undertaking.
The previous week police hit the store, located at the edge of downtown, and confiscated $66,000 worth of product and charged a 47 year-old woman.

The arrest comes as signs of saturation in the market are beginning to show, with 32 stores closing around Ontario – mostly in Toronto – in the past year, with nearly 50 more dispensaries listed for sale.
