UPDATE: Body found in north Whitby ruled ‘non-suspicious’ by police

A body found in a wooded area in Brooklin has been ruled “non-suspicious” by Durham Regional Police after the results of an autopsy.

Durham Regional Police reported a sudden death in Whitby after a body was found in in a wooded area near Tempo Way and Ramona Way, a residential neighbourhood between Hwy. 407 and Winchester Rd, on Monday. Police confirmed the discovery shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers did not consider the death suspicious at the time but held down the area until the autopsy was complete.

“The autopsy has been completed and this death has been determined to be non-suspicious,” police confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
