Vehicle impounded after doing double the speed limit on Pickering road

A driver allegedly caught doing double the speed limit in Pickering on Tuesday (June 4) would need a ride home, according to Durham Regional Police.
A blue Honda vehicle was pulled over near the intersection of Taunton Road and Whites Road after hitting 144 km/her in a posted 70 km/hr zone.
“The G2 driver had to get a drive home,” said Durham police on the social media platform X.
Durham police said “many summons” were issued.
The vehicle has been impounded and the drive has had his licence suspended.
