‘Violent assault’ in Oshawa sends one to hospital with four facing charges

Four people are in custody after a violent assault in Oshawa Sunday evening.
Durham Police responded to a trouble call just after 5 p.m. Sunday near Graburn Avenue and Drew Street south of downtown after three men were seen dragging another man into a residence.
Officers arrived on scene and saw several people fleeing the home. One suspect was taken into custody without incident, while two other suspects escaped. A search of the residence found two more men and a woman, who were taken into custody without incident. A gun was also found.
The victim was taken to Oshawa Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Nathan Daniel Kelly, 36, of Oshawa is charged with aggravated assault, three weapons charges and possession “contrary to order.” Mackenzy Lee Sigouin, 28, of Oshawa was hit with three gun-related charges.
Kevin Boutilier, 45, of Niagara Falls is charged with three weapons charges, two counts of possession and three probation violations. Daniel Carrigan, 62, of Niagara Falls was charged with three weapons offences.
All accused have been held for a bail hearing.
