Violent home invasion prompts search for two men in Clarington

A home invasion in Courtice has prompted a search for two unidentified men.

According to Durham Police, the men broke into a house near Lawson Road and Townline Road North on the border with Oshawa. The men entered the home around 2:30 a.m. on July 5.

They proceeded to attack the homeowners, tasering one multiple times.

Police soon responded and continue to investigate. However, the motive for the attack remains unknown.

They describe the first suspect as a white man standing six-foot-two and weighing about 190 pounds. He was wearing all-black clothes. The second is described only as a man in all-black clothes.
