Whitby man charged after firing gun into occuped vehicle

A Whitby man who fired a gun into a car with three people in it Wednesday night is in custody.
Fortunately for the three occupants of the vehicle, there were no injuries.
On Wednesday, July 6 at approximately 10:35 p.m., officers from Central West Division responded to reports of shots fired near Dundas Street and Halls Road in west Whitby.
Officers searched the area and located evidence of a shooting. The suspect was located nearby and arrested. Police seized a handgun.
Seth Bibby, 22 of Whitby, is charged with numerous weapon-related offences including reckless discharge of a firearm.
He was held for a bail hearing.
