A man is in hospital and a woman in police custody after a stabbing in Oshawa Tuesday morning.
Around 9 a.m. on October 19, officers arrived in the Albert Street and Banting Avenue area of Oshawa. The victim, 52, was in a fight with the woman before the stabbing. Police say she fled the scene, but K9 Taz and the Tactical Support Unit teamed up to find her and make the arrest.
Police say K9 Taz found the woman hiding in a backyard after a short track in “challenging conditions” and she was arrested without incident.
Emma Jesen, 25, from Oshawa, is charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, breaking probation order, possession of a drug with intent to traffic and simple drug possession.
She has been held until a bail hearing.
