A woman was injured while chasing an alleged thief following a Pokemon card robbery in Oshawa, police say.
Durham police say that around 2 p.m. on July 11, officers were called to the G.A.M.E.S. store (1180 Simcoe St. N.) after a suspect allegedly stole three Pokémon game cards worth approximately $5,000.
Police say the suspect fled the store and struck an employee on the head with a “hard object” when she pursued him. Police were not able to locate the suspect at the time and the victim was taken to hospital.
On July 12, police arrested Mark Morgan, 41, and charged him with theft under $5,000.
The charges have not been proven in court.
