Woman killed in Highway 412 crash in Whitby

A woman is dead after a car crash on Highway 412 in Whitby.
On August 17, a car rolled over on the Highway just north of Taunton Road shortly after 8 a.m. The sedan was heading south when the driver lost control of her car, the OPP has concluded.
The sedan rolled into a grassy area in the highway median and then crossed into the northbound lanes. The driver, a 21-year-old Whitby woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
High 412 was closed for around five hours while the OPP investigated and the road way was cleaned up. It has since re-opened.
