Youth in custody after stabbing at Bowmanville house party

A 15-year-old teenager has been arrested after stabbing another youth at a house party in Bowmanville.

East Division officers responded to a home on Scottsdale Drive just after one a.m. Sunday morning for reports of an armed person. Officers arrived on scene and located a young man suffering from stab wounds. The victim was air lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre in serious but stable condition.

A 15-year-old youth was arrested a short distance away and is charged with aggravated assault; assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.

He was released on an Undertaking.
