Famous burger joint chain opening new location in Oshawa

Get ready, burger lovers! A beloved American fast food chain is bringing its famous burgers to Oshawa.

Five Guys, known for its made-to-order burgers, offers a variety of free toppings and hand-cut fries. The new location is set to open at 1280 Clearbrook Dr. and will join the bustling plaza already home to Farm Boy and Shelby’s Shawarma.

Five Guys was first started in Washington, DC, in 1986 by the Murrell family.

With nearly 1,500 locations worldwide, this restaurant opening will mark its second location in Oshawa.

According to the company website, all Five Guys burgers are made with fresh ground beef, ensuring high quality and flavour. Patrons can dress up their burgers with various toppings, including lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and more.

For an extra indulgence, customers can add cheese and bacon.

The fries are hand-cut daily, and you can choose between lightly salted and Cajun-style— seasoned with a blend of spices.

Some other most ordered items include hot dogs, which come in several varieties such as the classic, cheese dog (with melted cheese), bacon dog (with crispy bacon), and bacon cheese dog that combines both.

The menu also features sandwiches such as veggie, grilled cheese, and BLT.

For a sweet and satisfying treat, you might want to opt for a milkshake. Classic flavours like vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry can be customized with mix-ins such as Oreo cookie pieces, peanut butter, and bananas.

If you’re eager to sink your teeth into one of Five Guys’ juicy burgers, you’ll have to wait a bit longer as the location, although marked with signage, has yet to announce an exact grand opening date.

In the meantime, you can visit the nearest location in Oshawa at 575 Laval Dr, Unit 10. They are open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
