Second shooting at a different house within two days in Oshawa

Early this morning, gunfire rang out at yet another house in Oshawa, marking the second shooting within two days.

Durham Regional Police responded to a home in the area of Thornton Road North and Adelaide Avenue West at 1 a.m., after receiving reports of shots being fired.

Police say after arriving at the scene, numerous shell casings were located, but no victims were found.

Officers continue to canvass the area and are asking anyone in the community with information to come forward.

A similar shooting took place in Oshawa a day earlier, just minutes away from the location of the recent incident.

Over the Victoria Day long weekend, Durham Region experienced a total of six shootings: Three in Ajax, two in Oshawa, and one in Whitby. Investigators are examining whether these incidents are connected.
